Read Moyes post match interval and it’s still too much of the same excuses. “Chances not going in”, “teams have ups and downs”, “we’re used to being at the top” and loads of references to last season early on and how we were in and around the top 4 and made the semi finals etc. lots about overseas players taking time.

We must be the club that has fallen furthest and fastest over the last 10 months and the speed of our descent is picking up pace. Not once have I heard reference to how it will be addressed other than waiting and hoping.

Incidentally while Soucek is not the only player underperforming who starts each week he is still the biggest problem and easiest players position to try something different with. We have a ready made replacement! Try it in the league for tge love of god etc !! If it doesn’t work and no difference or makes things worse fair enough but don’t know unless you try it.

One small crumb of comfort was Aguerd. Yes he is not 100% and got outpaced by Barnes as he tried as a CB to keep pace with him. But just his distribution alone was such a pleasant change. Was finding players with accurate passes out of defence. But Moyes has to see we need all players to be able to keep the ball and pass accurately. You only need 1 or 2 not up to it and you’re punishing. Fornals for tge second goal trying to play a cross field ball ball that was not on and I think their first was wheee we lost it cheaply up front ?

We will stick with Moyes which is a mistake but if we do that then someone needs to see we get some additions in Jan. A wing back or two, another smaller but quick and strong striker.

Of course if Moyes sticks with playing Soucek, Dawson and Cresswell then it will continue to hold us back IMO. Cresswell was ok today but his crossing has gone to sh*t and he will always be vulnerable to pace. Dawson has been great for us but his inability to control a football and pass accurately are now a problem. Same as Soucek.

Got to hope Cornet is back after the WC break too as we are desperate for some more options upfront

So here we are, well into the season having had plenty of time to bed in the newcomers which is what Moyes claimed was needed and we're just 1 point off the relegation zone.

Am I missing something here, because I could swear that any manager who'd just spent £175 MILLION of a clubs money and made the team worse - a lot worse, would have been fired by now.
I mean to say can you imagine the following teams being in this position and sticking with a bloke who is clearly failing:

Liverpool
Man City
Man Utd
Sp*rs
Arsenal
Chelsea
Newcastle
And add to this list Villa who didn't mess about over Gerrard.

What makes WHU so different that our putrid owners can't face up to the reality of Moyes clearly not having a fucking clue what to do. FFS he thinks we played well today.

Once a manager becomes deluded and cannot face up to reality then he has zero chance of fixing matters.

He must be fired now. Not sometime in new year when things have become worse, but now.

We have been poor since beating Liverpool at home last season. At home Moyse plays not to lose and not to win, we need a change now.

*...his rant after the Brighton game last season...*

He missed his Europa League qualifier £1M / top 6 bonus on the back of that game. Apparently he thought he should at least get 'some of it' given that he had gotten so close, but of course you either achieve a thing or you don't, ergo...

He appears to have got a cop on ever since - his attitude alone would be enough to get him sacked if it was my call... he has been belligerent, stubborn, rude to certain players such as Benny, and (now) rude to the fans as well. He has been found out - he was relying on certain indviduals in the background to produce fitness, determination, camaraderie and discipline in the squad, and in their absence he is the same 'in your face' overly direct fool that failed at United and other places.

I said we should have ousted him six games in, because if we waited until the WC everybody who is anybody would be in Qatar and thus he would still be with us in the New Year, by which time, if nothing changed (and of course it hasn't), then it would have become a crisis.

Vexed - Fair comment to a degree, Bowen has been poor this season but who could seriously replace him? Soucek has offered nothing for some time now and at least there’s Downes who is a ready made replacement and in better form.

I didn't think Cresswell played badly at all today. But there doesn't seem much point in criticizing this player or that one - it's the manager. So many are underperforming it must be.

Soucek gets far too much grief on here. Bowen gets away with it every week. Cresswell does to an extent. Rice has been shit all season. They were all terrible today to be fair. But it's always Soucek innit?

Saw this posted not sure if it's right?

Manuel Pellegrini after his first 15 PL and EFL cup games in 19/20 season:
- 4 wins
- 4 draws
- 7 losses

David Moyes after his first 15 PL and EFL cup games this season:
- 4 wins
- 2 draws
- 9 losses

I always knew Moyes had no plan B. Now I'm sure he hasn't even got a plan A.

The idea that MOYES is going to spend the next 6 weeks coming up with a solution when he thinks we are playing well is just fanciful.
We finished last season poorly and I dont know what went on after his rant at Brighton on the last day but the preseason was the worst in living memory and we looked woefully underprepared.
We have been on a downward spiral for the entirety of 2022 .... 17 Prem defeats in 33 isnt it? ...... & the players just look like they dont believe any more.
Feels very much like the end days of the last few managers with everyone just going through the motions.
Needs to be put out of his misery. As do we, can we make the WC longer than 6 weeks?

Not clinical but don't really actually create chances.

Certainly not as a groups of players. All our attacking seems very individual. You either create a chance for yourself or, well, nothing.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread - Preview
Their best player goes off, then the save from Fab, I really thought we were meant to get something from that today. Played ok in patches, but we are just not clinical enough in front of goal.

Bring on the WC and forget about this depressing shit for a few weeks as a relegation fight is what we get when things resume after Qatar.

Far cheaper to sack Moyes and his coaches than have to flog Scamacca and Paqueta for half the price we paid for them .
Make no mistake these two are being ruined by Moyes and if he stays for the season , then it’s Haller/ Anderson all over again .
These two clearly give a damn , there’s quality there but are clearly frustrated.
The worst aspect of today for me was the teams reaction to the penalty save - Nada .
The team don’t believe in Moyes any longer .
He has to go .
